General Questions

What is Player One Page?
Player One Page is a platform that allows athletes to create professional recruiting profiles. Athletes can showcase their stats, photos, highlights, and contact information in one place, making it easy for coaches and recruiters to find and evaluate them.
How much does it cost?
Player One Page requires a subscription to activate and publish your athlete profile. The exact pricing is shown during checkout. You can create a draft profile for free and only pay when you're ready to make it live and searchable.
Can I create multiple athlete profiles?
Yes! You can create as many athlete profiles as you need from a single account. This is perfect for parents managing profiles for multiple children or coaches managing team rosters. Each profile requires its own subscription.
What sports are supported?
We support all major sports including Football, Basketball, Baseball, Soccer, Track & Field, Volleyball, Lacrosse, Swimming, Wrestling, and many more. If your sport isn't listed, you can select "Other" and specify it in your profile.

Account & Billing

How do I cancel my subscription?
From your dashboard, click "Cancel Subscription" next to the page you want to cancel. This stops future billing, and your page can remain live until the end of the paid period. You can re-subscribe later if you change your mind.
What's the difference between Pause and Delete?

Pause: Makes your page private (draft mode) but keeps your subscription active. You can resume anytime without paying again. Best for temporary breaks or updates.

Delete: Permanently removes your page and cancels recurring payments. You'll need to create and pay for a new page if you want to return. Use this only when you're done for good.

What happens if my payment fails?
If a payment fails, your page status will change to "Payment Needed" and you'll receive an email notification. You can click "Pay Now" from your dashboard to update your payment method and reactivate your page.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page. Enter your email address and you'll receive a secure reset link. The link expires after 1 hour for security. If your account was locked due to failed login attempts, you'll be automatically redirected to reset your password.

Profile Management

Can I have multiple athletes with the same name?
Yes! Duplicate names are allowed, but each page must have a unique URL slug. If you create multiple athletes with the same name (like John Smith), you'll need to enter custom slugs like "john-smith-football" or "john-smith-2025" to differentiate them.
How do I change my profile URL?
You can change your profile URL slug anytime by clicking the "Edit" button next to your athlete page on the dashboard. In the edit form, you'll find a field to update the slug. Just make sure the new slug is unique and hasn't been taken by another page.
Can I edit my profile after it's published?
Absolutely! You can edit your profile anytime from the dashboard. Click "Edit" next to any page to update information, add photos, modify stats, or change contact details. Changes appear immediately on your live page.
How do I add photos to my profile?
When editing your profile, you can upload photos using the photo upload section. We recommend adding action shots, headshots, and team photos. Images are optimized automatically for fast loading and great quality.

Recruiting & Visibility

How do coaches find my profile?
Coaches can find your profile through our search page by filtering for sport, position, location, and class year. They can also access your profile directly if you share your custom URL with them. Make sure your profile is "Active" to appear in search results.
Can I see who views my profile?
Profile analytics and view tracking are not currently available but may be added in future updates. For now, we recommend including contact information on your profile so interested coaches can reach out directly.
How do I share my profile?

You can share your profile in several ways:

  • Share your URL: playeronepage.com/your-slug
  • Download and share your QR code (available on active pages)
  • Add your URL to email signatures or social media bios
  • Include it on business cards or recruiting materials
What should I include in my profile?

For the best results, include:

  • Complete personal info (name, sport, position, class year)
  • Physical stats (height, weight)
  • Academic information (GPA, test scores)
  • Season stats and achievements
  • High-quality photos and action shots
  • Highlight reel or video links
  • Social media links
  • Contact information

Recruiter/Coach Features

How do I create a recruiter/coach account?

Click "Get Started" and select "I'm a Recruiter". Recruiters with .edu email addresses are automatically verified. If you don't have a .edu email, you'll need to provide a detailed verification reason explaining your coaching role and affiliation.

Non-.edu accounts require admin approval before activation. You'll receive an email notification once your account is approved (typically within 24 hours).

What is the verification process for non-.edu recruiters?
If you register with a non-.edu email address, our admin team will review your verification request. You'll need to provide a detailed explanation of your coaching role and school/organization affiliation. Once approved, you'll receive an email and can sign in to access all recruiter features including athlete search and favorites.
How do I search for athletes?
Once logged in as a verified recruiter, click the search icon in the navigation or visit the Search page. You can filter athletes by sport, position, location (city/state), class year, and search by name. Only published athlete profiles appear in search results.
Can I save athletes to a favorites list?
Yes! When viewing athlete profiles, click the star icon to add them to your favorites. Access your saved athletes anytime from the Coach Dashboard. This helps you build recruiting lists and track prospects you're interested in.
How do I switch between athlete and recruiter dashboards?
If your account has both athlete profiles and recruiter access, use the dashboard switcher button in the navigation. Click 'Go to Coach Dashboard' from the athlete dashboard or 'Go to Athlete Dashboard' from the coach dashboard to toggle between views.

Profile Features

How do I preview my profile before publishing?
When editing your profile in draft mode, click the 'Preview' button in the top right corner. This opens your profile in preview mode so you can see exactly how it will look to recruiters before you make it live. Changes you make while editing appear immediately in preview.
Can I add video highlights to my profile?
Yes! You can embed highlight videos from YouTube, Vimeo, and Hudl. Simply paste the video URL when editing your profile. Videos are embedded directly on your page so recruiters can watch your highlights without leaving your profile.
How do I download my QR code?
For active (published) profiles, a QR code is automatically generated and displayed on your dashboard. Click the 'Download QR Code' button to save it as an image. You can print this QR code on business cards, recruiting materials, or display it at events for easy profile sharing.
Can I add social media links to my profile?
Absolutely! You can add links to your Twitter/X, Instagram, and other social media accounts. These appear as clickable icons on your profile, giving recruiters additional ways to learn about you and see your athletic content.
What is the One-Sheet and how do I use it?
The One-Sheet is a professional, printable PDF document that contains all your key athletic information on a single page. It's designed for sending to coaches via email, printing to bring to showcases and tournaments, or handing out at recruiting events. You can download your One-Sheet from your profile page or dashboard, and it automatically includes your photo, stats, contact info, and highlights. Print multiple copies to have on hand at games - coaches appreciate having a physical reference they can take notes on and keep in their files.

Technical Questions

My account is locked. What do I do?
For security, accounts are locked after 3 failed login attempts. When locked, you'll be automatically redirected to reset your password. Check your email for a password reset link (it expires after 1 hour). If you don't receive the email, check your spam folder or request a new reset link.
What file types can I upload for photos?
We support common image formats including JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP. For best results, use high-resolution images (at least 1200px wide). Images are automatically optimized for web performance while maintaining quality.
Is my data secure?
Yes. We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted passwords, secure payment processing through Stripe, and automatic account locking after failed login attempts. Your payment information is never stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for complete details on data protection.
Do you send email notifications?
Yes. We send transactional emails for important account events including: account verification, password resets, payment confirmations, subscription updates, and verification approvals/rejections for recruiters. All emails are sent via our secure email service and you cannot opt-out of transactional emails (but you can opt-out of marketing emails if we send them in the future).
